Students are invited to participate in undergraduate research projects as early as their freshman year. Our academic year program puts small groups of 2-3 students together with a faculty member for a research project of interest to all. During the summer, we host an intensified 10-week research program sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Usually, students participating in this program are from other schools, as it is advisable for students to broaden their horizons and experience summer research at an institution other than their own.
