Who are we?
Alliance is a group of students who advocate for LGBTQ youth and their allies. Whether they be lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or straight, all are welcome.
What do we do?
Throughout the year, we do CORE approved events such as movies, sessions on Martin Luther King Day, as well as something for National Coming Out Day, and we even attend LGBT conferences. Events are open to everyone, including students, faculty, and the general community.
Who can Join?
Any undergrad student can come to our meetings, you do not need an invitation. Our meetings are on Wednesdays, at 8.30pm, in the Gandhi King Center (above the Career Center) of the Harre Union. They are typically a relaxed space for students to hang out, have fun, and keep up with what Alliance is doing. Every week we start with an icebreaker, so new people are always welcome.
Where are we located?
The Alliance office is located in the Student Organization Suite (SOS) in the Harre Union, room 234.
An Alliance officer will be in the office at the following times:
Friday 11:00-12:00; 4:00-6:00
