Jaime Bachman is the Assistant to the Music Chair at Valparaiso University. She manages with many of the administrative aspects of the music office. She handles most of the finances for the music office - purchasing music, music supplies, and arranging for contracted services. She maintains records of all music majors, minors, and students with music awards. She interacts with many potential students over the phone and in e-mail, answering various questions about the Department of Music. Additionally, she serves as the Co-ordinator for Valparaiso University's Partners for Music Program. This is a program for non-college students who take music lessons with University faculty. Ms. Bachman graduated in 1999 from Valparaiso University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Enterprises. While at Valparaiso University she participated in the choirs and MESA (Music Enterprises Student Association). Her senior year she shared a solo voice recital with another VU student who she later married, Joshua Bachman. She continues to be involved in music through her church and small choirs around the Valparaiso area. When not working, Jaime enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and going camping. She is also the soccer coach for the 7th and 8th graders at Immanuel Lutheran School in Valparaiso.
