The Music Education Major (Bachelor of Music Education) is an intensive professional degree program, consisting of 61-65 credit hours in music, 40-43 credit hours in general education and 31 credit hours in professional education, including supervised teaching. This degree program leads to certification in both instrumental and vocal music in all 50 states. Valparaiso University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
