![]() | Cynthia FudalaAdjunct InstructorVUCA B530 BiographyCynthia Tenny-Fudala, received a Bachelor’s degree in flute performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master’s degree and a Certificate in Performance from Northwestern University. Her teachers were Katherine Borst Jones, Kyril Magg, Jack Wellbaum, and Walfrid Kujala. Cindy is currently principal flutist of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra and the Northwest Indiana Symphony. She has performed with many Chicago area ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Elgin Symphony, the Rockford Symphony, the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, the South Bend Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the Lincoln Opera Company. She also has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony, Sarasota Opera Festival, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, Dayton Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles “Gilbert and Sullivan” Opera Co, and the Chautauqua Festival Orchestra. As a concerto competition winner, she has been a soloist with the Cincinnati Concert Orchestra and the Northwestern Symphony Orchestra, and has been a featured soloist with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, the Northwest Indiana Symphony, the Lincolnwood Chamber orchestra, the Valparaiso University Chamber Orchestra, and the Lima Area Concert Band. Cindy is currently the Instructor of Flute at Valparaiso University, Concordia University, and the First Conservatory of Music, La Grange, IL. |
