Why Music Therapy at Valpo?

The Valpo music therapy program prepares you to fill a gap in a troubled world, providing not just healing and recovery to the most vulnerable, but also joy, beauty, hope and meaning. You’ll graduate with 1,200 hours of fieldwork experience as a great foundation for your career. Valpo has one of the few music therapy programs that integrate the music therapy internship into the curriculum, so that you continue to have the support of Valpo faculty and fellow students, as you meet weekly during your senior year internship to discuss the challenges and joys of your fieldwork.
