New Idea Process

There are three basic development and evaluation steps in the process for a New Idea to successfully be realized:

Prospectus Phase - Created by the New Idea submitter, this short document highlights the basics behind the New Idea. With the prospectus submitted, a New Idea is put through an initial screen process by the academic dean or area vice president depending on the idea.
Proposal Phase - Once a New Idea has been submitted, an initial screening process by the academic or area vice president moves the submission into a full proposal development phase. Following the proposal development, a final evaluation is conducted to make a formal recommendation about the New Idea.
Budgeting Phase - Following an approved New Idea proposal, funding models will be considered to get the idea implemented. These can include adding the idea into budget planning, fundraising, and/or budget reallocation.
