Being a writer is hard, and being a successful one is even harder. With so many industry myths and pitfalls just ready to snap the unwary, it helps to have a guide. Authors Neal F. Litherland and Meggie Tolkland will be offering their experience to audience members, answering questions and talking about what you have to do aside from writing a great book. Once you’re¬†finished writing, that’s when the real work begins.

Neal F. Litherland has appeared in the anthologies “End of Days” from Pink Petal Books as well as “Sidekicks” from Alliteration Ink. A contributor to the Pathfinder Tales from Paizo, he works primarily in short fiction. For more information find him on Goodreads or his author page on Facebook.

¬†After 30 years of experience writing, editing, and serving in media management, Meggie Tolkland published her first novel, The Mayhem: Roan’s Story, with Asteria Books. The first book in a romantic urban fantasy series, The Mayhem: Roan’s Story was nominated for Best Fiction in the latest Goodreads Readers’ Choice Awards. She is on the Membership and Recruitment Committee of Indiana Writers’ Consortium. A Hoosier native, Meggie is the mother of four children and enjoys walking and reading in her spare time. She keeps a blog here.
