Valparaiso University has selected Matt Delnick as the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration. Most recently Delnick has been the CEO of Greenstar Recycling based in Texas. He begins employment at the University on April 8.
In his new role, Delnick is responsible for financial strategy and oversight, and he joins University leadership as an integral team member overseeing Valpo’s continued efforts to implement the Strategic Plan.

His extensive experience in financial and general management throughout the past 20 years in various sectors complements his passion for making a significant contribution through his work,” said Mark A. Heckler, PhD, President of Valparaiso University. “I look forward to working closely with Matt, and I believe his skills will greatly benefit Valpo as we continue to prepare leaders who will serve and lead worldwide.”
Throughout his progressive career, primarily with large global organizations, Delnick held senior-level finance positions in a wide-range of industries including: service, retail, industrial and environmental.

Delnick is familiar with higher education, serving as a founding member of the College of Business Administration Alumni Board at Central Michigan University. He also participated in the mentor program, spending time in the classroom, volunteering and fundraising for the university.
Delnick holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
