Festival to feature international films

Tue, September 1, 2009 |

Critically-acclaimed movies from Europe, China, India and Mexico will be featured during Valparaiso University's fourth annual International Film Festival, a year-long celebration of international cinema.

Valpo's 2009-2010 International Film Festival will feature six recent films in their original language with English subtitles, and is being sponsored by the Harre Union and Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. Following each film, a Valpo faculty member with expertise in the country where the movie was made will lead an audience discussion.

Screenings will begin at 7 p.m. in Neils Science Center (Room 234) on campus. Tickets are $6 per film or $25 for admission to all six films, with free refreshments served prior to each screening. Tickets are on sale now at the Harre Union and online at http://www.valpo.edu/union/tickets or by calling (219) 464-5415.
