Professor Abraham joined the faculty in 2011 and serves as the Director of the Virtual Nursing Learning Center (VNLC). He is responsible for administering and coordinating VNLC experiences.. Professor Abraham also coordinates the cultural immersion experiences for the CONHP’s Health Care in India course. His area of clinical experience includes working as an ICU nurse in stroke and liver transplant ICU in India. He worked as a charge nurse to long-term care facility, and at Methodist Hospital Northlake’s med-surg unit. His main research interest is care of stroke patients, innovations in nursing, and integration of medical simulation in nursing education to enhance student learning experiences. Professor Abraham has conducted multiple conferences on simulation in India (2013), and is one of that country’s pioneers in developing simulation technology in nursing.
