Julie M. Brandy, Ph.D., RN, FNP-BC

Assistant Professor, Coordinator of FNP Program



Dr. Brandy teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Dr. Brandy holds a Master's degree as a clinical nurse specialist in psychiatric nursing, and is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University Health Center. In addition to her practice, she is an active volunteer at the Visiting Nurses Association of Porter County, serves as a parish nurse for a local congregation, and a past member of the board of directors at Whispering Pines Healthcare Center. She is a member of several professional nursing organizations including Sigma Theta Tau, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, and American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Her research interests are spirituality and mental health.
