Nancy Daw, DNP, MSN, ND, ACNS-BC, CNRN, CIC
BiographyProfessor Nancy Daw has joined the faculty in 2011. Her experience includes being an active faculty member in nursing, a critical care nurse, an an Infection Control Practitioner. As faculty memberof an NLN accredited program, she has been responsible for instruction and evaluation of nursing students in fundamental assessment, nursing transition program, Adult Medical Surgical Nursing at the undergraduate and graduate levels, Simulation Lab Facilitator, visiting lecturer, and adjunct faculty in the Masters of Nursing Program. As an Infection Control Practitioner, Professor Daw has worked with a local healthcare system on performance improvement projects aimed at patient safety. As a member of such a team, she was a co-author of a poster presented at the Indiana Consortium for Nursing Research in 2009 entitled "Using Evidence-Based Approaches to Change Nursing Practice and the Incidence of Primary Bacteremias". In 2007, she received Lifesaving Partner's Award from Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network in recognition of her participation and development of a process that enhanced organ donation opportunities for request through the implementation of a program that increased the visibility and presence of the organ donation requestor at an organizations nationwide.
