Julie Ann Koch, DNP, MSN, RN, FNP-BC

Assistant Professor of Nursing



Professor Koch joined the faculty in the summer of 2000. She teaches in the graduate program. She also serves at the administrator of the Continuing Nursing Education Provider Services Committee for the CON. In addition to her faculty responsibilities, she maintains clinical expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Merrillville. As as advanced practice nurse, Professor Koch has been active with local, state, and national APN organizations and the Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Professor Koch has published numerous educational case studies for nurse practitioners and has presented research findings, along with evidence-based practice guidelines at national APN conferences. Professor Koch is also a practicing nurse representative and accreditation site visitor for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. She is an active peer reviewer for the Journal of Professional Nursing and the Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Professor Koch is a contributing author for an undergraduate pathophysiology text.
