Dr. Nesius joined the Valparaiso University nursing faculty in the summer of 2007.

She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. One of her main interest is in the VNLC simulation lab with such different types of simulations as Medical/Surgical, OB, and Code Simulation.

Dr. Nesius has had experience as a staff nurse in medical/surgical units and long-term care facilities. She taught at Ivy Tech Community College for 8 years prior to coming to Valparaiso University. She presently practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner at an Occupational Clinic focussing on primary prevention.

Dr. Nesius is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and  the Society of Nurses in Advance Practice, and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
