Professor Olejniczak has been the Director of the Virtual Nursing Learning Center since 2003, and is an adjunct clinical instructor. She has clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology and surgery. Her teaching and research interests focus on the integration of medical simulation in nursing education to enhance the student nurse's learning experience and to ultimately improve the quality of patient care.

She is a practicing Parish Nurse and teaches the Parish Nurse Basic Preparation course in conjunction with the International Parish Nurse Resource Center.

She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
