The Lumina Center is pleased to provide faculty and staff with this interactive
guide to grantseeking resources at Valparaiso University. In the past
several years, faculty and staff have become increasingly active in seeking
external financial support for both individual research projects and campus-wide
initiatives. Grants from foundations, corporations, and governmental agencies
greatly enhance the quality of our academic programs and the national
prestige of the University. Even though the climate for grantseeking from
these funding sources has become extremely challenging, we have been very
successful in obtaining grants for a private institution of our size.
Please take advantage of the resources you find here, and do not hesitate
to contact us if you need assistance with identifying potential funding
sources, organizing ideas and projects, gathering data, writing proposal
narratives, developing budgets, and editing and reviewing proposals.
