Classes are done, so it’s time to Hit the Road!

Now that classes have reached a pause, the touring ensembles from Valparaiso University are heading out on tour.  The VU Chorale will be going on an extended tour of the Atlantic seaboard and the Southeast.  Performing in seven states, and the District of Columbia, the Chorale will be singing in some exciting locales.  One stop will see the Chorale at the oldest Lutheran church in the United States (First Lutheran, Albany, NY - March 9).  The Chorale will also perform at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. on March 12th.  Before returning home, the Chorale will also perform in North Carolina and Georgia.

The Kantorei of the Chapel of the Resurrection has a brief but busy tour line up approaching.  Their tour will remain centralized in the Midwest, specifically in Ohio, Michigan and Illinois.  Along the

The Chamber Concert Band will also tour during the final weekend of Spring Break.  A Sousa-style concert at the statehouse in Indianapolis along with various concerts in Illinois and Wisconsin will keep the premier concert band at Valpo busy while off campus.  This mini-tour is the second half of the CCB’s tour season which began in January when the group was honored with a performance spot at the annual Indiana Music Educator’s Convention in Indianapolis.
