Valpo Athletics begins a new chapter in 2017-2018, joining the Missouri Valley Conference in each of its 17 sports. Valpo brings a strong tradition of more than 100 years of intercollegiate athletics to the Missouri Valley Conference, which is the nation’s second-oldest NCAA Division I athletics conference.
Arts and Culture
With an expansive permanent collection, the Brauer Museum of Art offers a unique opportunity to view world-class art in Northwest Indiana. Summer exhibitions feature new acquisitions to its permanent collection and works by the Duneland Plein Air Painters.
At Valpo, students receive an innovative STEM education within a liberal arts setting. Expanding campus facilities, the Center for the Sciences: Chemistry and Biochemistry opens fall 2017 and offers 55,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratory facilities that promote collaboration and hands-on learning.
Faculty Scholars
Studies in Christian Ethics dedicates its latest issue to the work of Professor Emeritus Gilbert Meilaender, who has been at the center of American theological and moral discussion for more than three decades.

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college at Valpo, home to 23 departments and more than two dozen interdisciplinary programs that engage students in the study of humanities, sciences, the arts, pre-professional studies, and social sciences.
