Internships & Co-ops

Internships:

Physical Education majors have participated in internship programs with various organizations including the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Wave, Indianapolis Ice, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, Pittsburgh Penguins, South Bend Silverhawks, Fort Wayne Fury, and with sports agents and attorneys, YMCA, athletic conferences, health and fitness clubs, community hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, parks and recreation departments, local high schools and sports medicine clinics, and The Boys’ & Girls’ club. Physical Education Teacher Education majors student teach at elementary and secondary schools in the area.

Study Abroad:

Students may take advantage of any of Valpo’s 14 study abroad programs as well as its semester programs in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. These programs are designed to set up connections from around the worls while gaining a first class education in a foreign setting.
