Sports Management
Courses Required for a SPORTS MANAGEMENT CURRICULUM
The Sports Management program incorporates the areas of physical education, business, and communications into its discipline. The major core curriculum requires a minimum of 30 credit hours.

- PE 233 Principles of Sports Management 3 cr
- PE 240 Hist., Phil., & Org., Perspectives in PE 3 cr
- PE 310 Psychology of Sport 3 cr
- PE 320 Sport and Society 3 cr
- PE 333 Management & Development of Facilities 3 cr
- PE 343 Sports Marketing, Promotions, & Fund Raising 3 cr
- PE 410 Measurement & Evaluation 3 cr
- PE 473 Senior Project 3 cr
- PE 486 Internship 3 cr
- COMM 101 Media Presentation 3 cr
Students enrolled in the Sports Management program also complete a Liberal Arts Business Minor. Some of our students, however, elect to "double major" in both sports management and business. All courses are designed to provide the knowledge base and practical experiences in the growing sports environment. this work enables students to analyze the different areas in sport and how sport operates and influences society.
