Biography

Dr. Barbara Tyree has been with the university since 1996.

Associate Professor of Physical Education - Duties include coordinating the Physical Education Teacher Education Program, teaching major classes in Physical Education, including elementary and secondary methods, foundations of physical education, outdoor education and health seminar.  She also supervises student teachers in the field; advises Physical Education Teacher Education majors, and general education classes.  She oversees the Sports Management and Sports Administration graduate programs. Additional duties include curriculumn development, design  and implementation of new courses, and  conducting research in teaching and sport pedagogy. (acquisition of new technology appropriate to the field of physical education.)

Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Sport Pedagogy - University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho. 1996 
M.S. in Physical Education - Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. 1993
