Fall Astronomy Day Events Information and Registration

Fall Astronomy Day, Saturday, October 8, 2011

 Schedule

3:00 - 5:00 pm: Hands-on astronomy activities for students in grades 4 - 9.  Registration is required (see below)

  • Viewing the Sun through a solar telescope (if clear)
  • Touring the Fall night sky in the VU planetarium
  • Building your own Galileoscope (a 2-inch refracting telescope) OR
  • Building your own model solar system.  [More details will be sent to registrants or may be requested by e-mailing Prof. Todd Hillwig at Todd.Hillwig at valpo.edu - students who have previously participated in one of these activities will be placed in the other activity.]

Fall Astronomy Day 2011 is now full and we cannot accept any further registrations.  We do typically have a few cancellations. If you would like to be on our wait list, you may fill out the form below and submit it.  You will receive an e-mail when, and if, a slot becomes available
