What's a Chemist Doing Teaching Chemical Engineering?

Dr. William Schneider, Notre Dame University, Department of Biological & Chemical Engineering

Life can take one in surprising directions. In this presentation, I'll describe my career path from an undergraduate to graduate chemistry major to a scientist and supervisor in a major automotive company to a chemical engineering professor at Notre Dame. I'll intersperse these personal reflections with descriptions of the computational chemistry methods I and my group use and the problems in surface chemistry and catalysis I've worked on along the way.
