"A Summary of Research Programs in Physics & Astronomy at VU, Part II"

Faculty of the Dept. of Physics & Astronomy, Valparaiso University

Each member of the faculty in the Department of Physics and Astronomy is
engaged in an active research program. While our principal mission here
at VU is teaching and mentoring of students, we believe that maintaining
active research helps us to provide a contemporary context to this mission.
The areas of research represented in the department can be found from our
www page in summary form. At this colloquium, we will share the current
state of our research programs in physics and astronomy and give an idea how
students might become involved, especially in the summer 2009 when we will
again support a number of students to work on this research full time.

This should provide some background for deciding your plans for this coming
summer. It is also possible for students to become involved during the
academic year by mutual arrangement.
