Recently twenty international and US institutions with the leadership from the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) have formed a collaboration and started a project to search for the electric dipole moment of the neutron. This experiment has the potential to provide a significant challenge to the extensions of the Standard Model. The experiment is currently at the Research, Development and Construction stage. The data taking is expected between the years 2014-2017. In this talk I will give an introduction to the design of the project and discuss some of the challenges faced.
