Two Assistant Professors and one Lilly Fellow will be joining the Department of Political Science beginning with the Fall 2010 semester.
Amy Atchison earned a PhD in Political Science with concentrations in Comparative Politics and Public Policy. Dr. Atchison teaches courses in Comparative Politics and International Relations. Her current research focuses on gender and politics in Advanced Industrial Democracies.
Gregg Johnson began graduate studies in Comparative Politics at the University of Arizona where he completed his Ph.D. in Political Science. His research examines how political institutions (the rules of the game) affect elite and mass behaviors in Latin America and the United States. He teaches courses in Comparative Politics, Political Economy, and Research Methods.
Mina Suk received her A.B. with magna cum laude honors in political science and interdisciplinary studies from Amherst College where she wrote a senior thesis on grief in the writings of Emerson.
