In addition to these courses, students select from one of the following concentrations:
- General Political Science Concentration
Students take an additional 18 credit hours from
any of the courses offered in the department (including courses that would apply to the International Relations major).
- Legal Studies Concentration
Students take at least 15 of the remaining 18
credit hours needed for the major from the following:
- POLS 140 The Field of Law
- POLS 220 State and Local Politics in the United States
- POLS 340 Constitutional Law I
- POLS 341 Constitutional Law II
- POLS 345 Judicial Process
- POLS 380 Problems in International Relations
- POLS 490 Seminar in Political Science (when topics are appropriate).
- Public Policy and Public Administration Concentration
In addition to the 12 hours required of all majors, students are required to take:
- POLS 360 Public Administration
- POLS 361 Public Policy
and at least 9 of the remaining 12 credits from the following courses:
