Vice President for Enrollment Management
Michael A. Joseph, M.A., joined the senior leadership team at Valparaiso University in 2011 as the vice president for enrollment management. As the chief enrollment officer, Vice President Joseph leads the development and oversees the execution of the University’s comprehensive enrollment management plan, in addition to overseeing Athletics and Integrated Marketing and Communications. He works closely with University leadership to provide the vision, strategy, operational process, and direction required to meet the University’s growth objectives.
Vice President Joseph arrived at Valpo with extensive experience as a higher education administrator and enrollment strategist. Most recently, he worked at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM), where he initially served as vice president for enrollment management. In subsequent years, his role expanded to include responsibility for Student Affairs, Intercollegiate Athletics, University Advancement, and Academic Affairs. His tenure at UDM ended after serving as interim president of the university during the 2010–2011 academic year.
Vice President Joseph has also served in several other key administrative leadership positions, overseeing enrollment operations at College Misericordia, Dominican University, and North Central College.
