MAKE A GIFT

The first 2,000 donors who make a gift in response to this year’s event will be matched with $25 from alumni Ed ’68 and Janice ’68 Wesemann. There are a number of matching gift opportunities and giving challenges being sponsored throughout the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What credit cards do you accept? A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.   Q: If I mail my gift, will it count toward the goals for Day of Giving, Proud to be Valpo? A: Yes, any gifts postmarked on or before April 8 will count, and any gift made in response to our Proud to be Valpo mailing or made online will automatically count. If you sent a gift within the last week outside of those methods, we would be happy to associate your gift with our Day of Giving. If you would like to talk to someone directly about your gift, please call 219.464.6188.   Q: I’d like to get involved at Valpo. Where can I request volunteer information? A: Visit alumni.valpo.edu/involvementform for information about how to get involved.   Q: If I split my gift, will each split gift be matched? A: We appreciate your support and desire to maximize the matching benefit to the University. To encourage broad involvement, the match was offered based on each unique donor who makes the gift, not each gift record.   Q: Can I choose where to direct my gift? A: Yes. Gifts of any amount to any area of the University will count toward the Day of Giving, Proud to be Valpo and are eligible to be matched. Go to valpo.edu/proudtobevalpo, Make a Gift, then Designations.   Q: Can I give a gift in memory or in honor of someone? A: Yes. Please include the name of the person you wish to remember or honor. If you would like us to send a note to notify the honoree or family of the deceased, please also include the appropriate name(s) and address.   Q: I make a monthly payroll deduction or EFT gift. Will this type of gift count toward the Day of Giving? A: Thank you for considering a gift. If your circumstances don’t allow you to make a gift at this time, we would be happy to record a pledge you can pay some time in the future. Please call 219.464.6188 if you would like to make a pledge in support of our efforts today.   Q: Where do I drop off my canned goods for the food drive? A: We will be accepting canned goods from Monday, April 6 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8. The drop containers are located at the Harre Union on the main level just outside of the Campus Café.
