ABOUT ALD

Alpha Lambda Delta is a society for freshmen who have GPAs after their first semester of 3.5 or greater. The freshmen that qualify will be contacted during the spring semester of their freshman year by ALD members. In turn, they will have the option to be inducted later on in the semester. They will become official members of ALD in their sophomore year.

As members of ALD, our mission is to encourage superior academic achievement, to promote intelligent living and a high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals in society. At VU, we offer many oppurtunities for members to be involved in ALD through service. Once members have completed a given number of service hours, they become eligible for cords that they can wear at graduation. Stay tuned for upcoming ALD events on campus!
