Personal Profile	Contrary to popular belief - No, I have not mastered the Chinese language and withdrawn from the world to a secluded Chinese village. Instead, I am trying to master the sappy language of Lutheran Volunteer Corps communities. Don't get me wrong - my roommates are great, but it's the LVC staff and Chicago support committee that are overdoing the concept of intentional community. Last weekend I participated in community feud against the other Chicago LVC house - the LVC version of Family Feud. It was truly frightening (Fellowship chairs don't get any ideas). But anyway, LVC is not all bad - like I said, my roommates are all wonderful (I have 3) and they all like to cook, which keeps my tummy happy. My job (this is a real job, despite the unfounded belief that volunteer jobs are not real jobs) is not difficult, but definitely keeps me busy. I work for the Howard Area Community Center in the Social Services Department. I am in charge of our food pantry- which involves picking up food once a week in a 15 passenger van - my favorite part of the job. My main responsibility is helping clients apply for the low income home energy assistance program so they can get help paying their heat bills and don't have to freeze to death. This is fun because I meet lots of different, interesting people every day and the Social Services staff is full of wonderful people. Sorry I couldn't be at the Alumni event (real job, remember) but I hope you're all having fun and doing lots of great service.

Personal Profile	Ralph joined APO because he knew a lot of people who were members. He became president his senior year. Ruth joined the chapter at Ball State University in Muncie, IN because she was intrigued by a fraternity that had service as it's main purpose. The Johnstons have a son, Evan, who was 2 in August, and are expecting child #2 in April. Ralph owns his own computer programming business, creating bank processing software. Ruth works part-time as a CLASS Cadre Coach, supporting brain compatible teaching methods in 3 schools, a field instructor supervising student teachers from VU, and she also sells Pampered Chef kitchen tools.They are busy with their church and with their ministry as Marriage Encounter presenting team. Personal Profile	The time since graduating from Valpo has been really hectic for me. I got married June 17th, then moved to Seattle to start graduate school. I'm working towards my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University-- I love the program, and it is definitely keeping me busy! We also found out shortly after I started school that I'm pregnant with our first baby-- not part of the plan, but we're excited about it! I'm due around April 2nd-- a little over nine months after the wedding. Biography of Ronald Lee Ronald Lee has been the Saginaw Township Manager since 1991. Prior to coming to Saginaw Township, Ron was the City Administrator of Grand Ledge, MI for eight years. Overall, his professional career includes nearly 17 years as a public manager and another 10 years as a professional community planner in bot
