Camp Topeneebee (Tope for short) is a boy scout camp near Michigan City. Through our help in the past 14 years, the camp has been able to start hosting summer sessions for scouting again. You don't need any special skills to help at Tope, the boy scout leaders provide that. Every spring semester, our chapter camps at Tope for a weekend, usually meeting Friday night for fellowship and working on Saturday. If camping out isn't your style, you can still come help with the workday on Saturday. Food for Saturday and Sunday breakfast will be provided, covered by a money donation charge to those who attend. Friday night we have fun and games planned outside (ultimate frisbee, capture the flag) and inside (cards, board games). Saturday is the main workday, starting at nine and ending around five, with a lunch break in between. There will be more games Saturday afternoon and a good dinner. Sunday we clean up any messes we made and go home happy. For this weekend excursion, rides will leave from the Valparaiso University Student Union Friday evening and on Saturday morning. To drive yourself, please use the map and directions below.
