NEWS: The next Vu Ballroom competition will be on Febuary 4th 2012!

VU Ballroom is a student run organization designed to foster the art of ballroom dancing.  This organization was started approximately 8 years ago is comprised of two main facets, the Social Team and the Competitive Team.  

The Social Team is designed to give people from the community, VU students, and VU alumni the opportunity to learn the basics of ballroom dancing.  This team consists of 100+ rotating members and meets weekly on Wednesday nights.  There are two different lessons on this day, each week; the beginner lesson is from 7-8 and the intermediate lesson is from 8-9.  These lessons build off of each other and the instructors start from the basic steps, so even if you have no experience at all, I encourage you to come and have a good time.

The Competitive Team was formed in order for people to build off of the dances taught at the Wednesday lessons and expand their knowledge and understanding of the dances.  Our Executive Board, Captains, and Coach are devoted to teaching the proper technique, so that this team of 40+ members can compete at numerous competitions across The Midwest.
