Sorry for the late reminder--don't forget about German club tonight, especially if you're interested in running for an officer position for next year!

Hello all,

I decided to cancel the meeting tonight. We really don't have any pressing business to talk about, so it doesn't make sense for everyone to walk all the way down to the German House.

BUT, we do need to start thinking about electing officers for next year. If you would like to nominate yourself for an officer position for the 2008-2009 year, send me an E-mail and let me know which position you'd like. I'll compile a preliminary list and we'll take time next week for all the candidates to say a little bit about why they would be an excellent German Club officer (nothing formal or even very long). If you're in Tuebingen this year, please send me a few sentences about yourself and why you'd be great for the position. This will be especially helpful for the freshmen who do not know you.

Next week we'll hear from the potential candidates and the meeting after that we'll vote. We'll probably also talk about some end-of-the-year fun, as well as some fun activity to do before the end of the year if anyone wants to.

Hi Everybody,

Don't forget - there's a meeting tomorrow night, March 25, at 9:30 pm in the German House (upstairs). Ryan said, "Be there or be square," so it should be a pretty exciting meeting.

Also, don't forget about the Romanian movie tonight at 7:30 in the German House (downstairs). Critics have hailed it "as a new force in world cinema," so it should also be pretty exciting.

Yet another thing not to forget: Kaffeestunde on Wednesday from 4-5 pm in the German House (downstairs). You can say something for yourself, in German, so that should be pretty exciting too.
