Welcome!

The Valparaiso University chapter of Habitat For Humanity (HFH) works with the same goals and mission as HFH International. HFH is a non-profit, ecumenical Christain housing ministry, and HFH:VU seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the Valparaiso area. Habitat invites people from all walks of life to work together in partnership to help build houses with families in need. Our chapter has built 5 homes, and currently is traveling and helping other chapters work on their projects. Devotion

    Without God nothing gets accomplished.  When the cares and worries of this world seem overwhelming and everything we do seems to be done in vain, we should hand our concerns to God.  He will get us through the hard times and work good through them.  However, we shouldn't just give our difficulties to God, we should give him our entire life, both the good and the bad.  Often when things go well, people tend to either forget about  God or simply thank him for his gifts.  Instead, we should invite God to take control of the good things he has given us, so that they may be used to his glory.  For whether things seem to be going well or poorly, nothing will be done without God in control. 

Prayer:  Lord, thank you for all you have given us.  Help us to give ourselves back to you, so that you may do your works through us without our resistance.  We know that without you, we would have nothing and get nowhere.  Amen
