The information
below is intended to help students decide to stop cheating
before it starts. Please read through the information below;
it pertains to all Valparaiso students and isn't boring
or outdated. If you have any questions, feel free to email
the Honor Council at honor.council@valpo.edu.
How
do I cite my paper?
The Valparaiso University Writing Center, located
in the Christopher Center, employs students willing to help
you cite papers properly. They also proofread and offer
suggestions on improving your latest work. You can find
citation information online at their website.
Open letter to Valparaiso
University students
A student at Valparaiso from 1985 to 1990 recently
wrote the Honor Council about cheating he was involved in
almost two decades ago. He wrote a letter to incoming freshmen
that applies to all students: this man wants you to know
his reasons for confessing, and why he believes you shouldn't
cheat.
