Tips for avoiding accusations of cheating: It's very easy to decide that the Honor System is some complex process that isn't worth spending any time learning. Nothing could be further from the truth. Open Letter to Valparaiso University Students: In 2003, the Honor Council received a letter from a former student acknowledging the use of unauthorized aid during his studies at Valparaiso University. Although this letter is a reflection of past events, the contents continue to be relevant to the student body today. The contents of this letter expound upon the all too common psychology of cheating and the individual importance of maintaining academic integrity throughout higher education.
