Students, both meteorology majors and non-meteorology majors, have a chance to test their forecasting skill each winter in the AMS/NWA Snowfall Contest. A donation of $1 gives students the chance to guess the day of the first snowfall in Valparaiso and the total snowfall of the season, and the winner in each category wins a Jimmy John's gift certificate. Entries can be made in the fall in either the Weather Center or a table in the Union.
