Mary Ann Cooper, MD: Lightning has been the second highest storm killer for over one hundred years. Although 90% of victims survive, some may have permanent long term disabilities. This talk with discuss the risk of lightning injury, some of the medical aspects, mechanisms of injury and injury prevention.
