Ginger Zee, WMAQ-TV, NBC 5 Chicago

I believe my place in the conference is to bring a light-hearted break.  Well, TV isn’t lighthearted.  It’s mean spirited.  I will share some new rude and weird emails then get down to business and talk the business that I know and love, emphasizing the necessity of internships, relative experience, and networking in ALL walks of meteorology.  Looking put together is the rule in TV but it can’t hurt no matter where you go.  In every job interview, you are selling you.  I will preach the benefits of your fit in a job and that there is no crying in meteorology.  The real world is rough.  It’s rude.  It’s real.  You are almost out of college (I think most of the folks will be) so grow up.

My talk will be funny, exciting, but informative.  Get ready for some tough love.
