Great Lakes Meteorological Conference 2012

The Great Lakes Meteorology conference is a broad student run conference featuring speakers from many aspects of the Meteorology field. The conference features speakers from many diverse meteorological rangers, including broadcasting, aviation, emergency management operations, the NWS, and tornado/severe weather. Our 2012 keynote speaker was Jared Guye from the Storm Prediction Center and a Valparaiso University Alumni. This conference also provides great networking opportunities not only with the speakers, but with other agencies that may attend. The conference is supported in part by the University Student Senate, although it is hosted off campus at Strongbow Inn. The conference is a one-day event, (doors open at 9am and conference concludes no later than 7pm), and your registration fee includes lunch and dinner. It is open to any student, faculty, industry representative, or meteorologically minded individual.

Our 2012 AMS/NWA Conference was held March 31st, 2012 at Strongbows Inn. Pictures and summaries will be published as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience.
