One of the Premed Club's favorite little organisms enjoys his apple cider in style at the progressive dinner.

Shadowing

Students who meet specified requirements are allowed to shadow physicians in Porter Memorial Hospital. This program allows students to observe physicians in the work setting. Various areas include the following: obstetrics, urology, surgery, orthopedics, oncology, ophthalmology, emergency room, and pathology. The following links are avaliable to get you started:

What's In a Doctor's Bag

A skit that is based on a book written by a doctor. Performed by VU students for grade school children, this skit familiarizes children with the medical instruments they may encounter at a doctor’s office.

The Glow Germ Skit

A hand-washing program that is presented to grade school children. Students receive training through Porter Memorial Hospital and give demonstrations in local schools.
