Premed club is a student organization comprised of students interested in pursuing a career in the allied health professions, including allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, and pharmacy, physician assisting as well as the public health sectors. We strive not only to be an intrinsic environment of academic success, but to make a difference in surrounding communities and to be dedicated to the continuation of undergraduate success.

Each year, Valparaiso nursing, pre-medical and pre-dental students travel on a medical mission trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua as an alternative spring break. Working with licensed medical professionals, from both the United States and the local country, students perform basic health checks, identify primary health problems, make diagnoses and distribute medications in both urban and rural communities.
