Hello Alumnae!

I’m Kelly Bylica, the new Alumnae Secretary for the Beta Lambda Chapter. Julie is off doing a wonderful job student teaching this semester and I have returned from a great semester in Germany, so I will be taking over for her!

Here is what is happening:

   The Beta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota is excited to invite five girls to membership this Spring semester: three freshmen: Jacque Baldori, Taylor Fleming, and Lizz Mook, and two sophomores: Kristi Peterson, and Mary-Kate O’Neill.

Jacque, Taylor, and Lizz are members of the Valparaiso University Chorale. Jacque and Taylor are both vocal performance majors while Lizz is a music education major. Kristi and Mary-Kate are both members of the Kantorei, the choir for The Chapel of the Resurrection. Kristi is a music education major and Mary-Kate is a music business major. They are all talented musicians, and they are all excited about SAI. They will be wonderful additions to the Beta Lambda Chapter of SAI.

Here is a note from one of our sisters:
Dear Sisters of Sigma Alpha Iota,

   My name is Kimberlyn Schultz and I am one of the current co-sisterhood/archive chairs this year. I am writing to you to ask about your time here in here is Sigma Alpha Iota.  One of the goals this year for the chair has been to put some kind of archive book together, and this is why I need your help. If possible, I would like for you to write a little something about your time here in the sisterhood. Things you might want to share are what type of things you did in the sisterhood, what positions you held, what stories would you like to share with the current sisters and the ones to come. Please also include the years that you were an active sister in the chapter. If you have pictures to share or like to share with us that would be great too. As we come up to our 60th anniversary on the Valparaiso University campus, I think it would be great to have something to show what our sisterhood has been.

Also, The VU Chorale, Kantorei and Symphony Orchestra will be touring Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana & New York this semester. If you live or will be in any of these places and would like to see current sisters perform in any of these ensembles while on tour this semester, we would love your support!
