Speaker Scheduling and Room Reservations
Room Reservations in Wesemann Hall - Melissa Mundt - Room 229 - 465-7847
To reserve a room for an organization meeting, students must reserve use of a room in the Room Schedule Book through Melissa Mundt. Reservations can be made in person or via email. The Brassfield Conference Room is for faculty and staff use only. Additional information is required when reserving rooms for weekends or evening use. Individuals or groups who have made reservations in the Room schedule Book have priority in the use of a room. In general, law school classrooms are locked after hours and are not available for evening or weekend use. However, the three seminar rooms (St. Louis, Chicago, Hessler) remain unlocked and available for use whenever the law school is open.
4-Step Process for Scheduling Speakers & Events. Please do this every time you schedule an event. This ensures that the Dean's Office knows what is happening at VUSL as well as prevents low turnout from multiple groups scheduling events at the same time.
1) Check the SBA website/Wesemann Weekly to see what other events are going on.
2) Reserve a room through Melissa Mundt
Melissa has requested that groups not ask for Tabor unless they are 99% sure that there will be a large turnout at their events.
3) Send an informational email about your event to SBA, Melissa, and Lisa Todd (Dean's Office).
4) Make sure you have the equipment you need.
Table and chair reservations are through the physical plant, and are separate from Dining Services.
