Andrew Meyer

Schaumburg, IL  | Finance & Political Science


Andrew, or “A-Money”, as he is known, is a Finance and Political Science major at VU. He is currently the Treasurer of Beta Tau. He was recently “studying” abroad in Prague this past semester on what he calls a glorified four month vacation. Andrew has also been Treasurer prior, Philanthropy, and Social Chairs for Beta Tau. This past summer Andrew interned at the US Embassy in London working in the Economics section. Andrew is a member of the Valparaiso University Chorale, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Last year he was in the Theatre Departments operatic production of Pirates of Penzance.

Zack Olson

Onsted, MI | Electrical Engineering


Zack is a member of Christ College, the University’s honor college and majoring in Electrical Engineering; however, he is contemplating going to law school after he graduates. He is currently the Vice President of Beta Tau and was Herald prior to that. Zack graduated high school Valedictorian of his class. He is an avid Republican and supports Ron Paul for this upcoming Presidential election.

Geoff Shorts

Pine Bluff, AR | Mechanical Engineering


Geoff is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major at VU, and is currently Beta Tau’s President. He is also very active in Beta Tau’s intramural sports.

Quinn Bobel

Lexington, KY | Meteorology & Mathematics


Quinn is a Meteorology and Mathematics double major at VU. Last year Quinn was recruited to be apart of Valpo’s swimming and diving team as a diver. He decided to stop after one year in order to focus on his academic studies more. Quinn spends his free time doing whatever he can for the brotherhood and organizes Philanthropy events.

Micah Sievenpiper

Waukesha, WI | Theology & Computer Science


Micah is a theology major from Wisconsin who anticipates an early graduation to facilitate a hiking expedition on the Appalachian Trail prior to entering seminary and becoming an ordained pastor in the Lutheran Church. At present, he is the Residential Minister to Greek life as well as an active member of the Chapel Staff. Wholly omniscient and part-time ninja, Micah is also involved as treasurer for the Political Action League and works as a Student Representative for the Office of Institutional Advancement. Recently Micah was elected President of IFC.

Andrew Hanson

Brandon, SD | Civil Engineering


Andrew is from South Dakota, and YES! people actually live there. He is currently a Civil Engineering major at VU and Beta Tau’s Vice President. His interests include hiking, camping and billiards. Likewise, he is a member of the VU Billiards League and plays regularly at the student Union.

Matt Noel

Darien, IL | International Business, Chinese & Japanese Studies


Matt was awarded a scholarship to major in the Universities Chinese and Japanese Studies program. Matt is currently the Rush Chair for Beta Tau. He is an active player in our intramural sports as well. Matt works for the university as a transport dispatcher for the University Escort Service.

Dan Meals

Washington, IL | Finance, Chinese & Japanese Studies


Dan has also received a scholarship to major in the Chinese and Japanese Studies program and tutors English for Chinese students. Similarly, Dan is Beta Tau’s Scholarship Chair. Dan currently is swimming for the Valparaiso Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. This past summer Dan interned at his hometown Park District and worked on the Gus Macker Basketball tournament in the Peoria, IL region. Dan is also a member of the Valpo LEAD program.

Cullen Wulf

Appleton, WI | Finance & Management


Cullen is a Finance and Management major at VU. As a freshman, he was Vice President of his dorm house council, a member of the Judicial Board, Transit Committee, and the Committee on Residence. Toward the end of the second semester, he was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, in addition to being accepted into the Student Alumni Association. As a sophomore, Cullen is the Entertainment Chair on the University Union Board and an active member of the Student Alumni Association. Cullen is hoping to study abroad in Germany in the fall semester of 2008.

Niall Letz

Dyer, IN | Civil Engineering


Niall is just someone trying to have a good time, although shy around new faces, he is a self proclaimed “goof.” As a Pizza delivery boy, Niall supplies Beta Tau with plenty of nourishment. Keep it coming Niall!

Mike Wogan

Fort Wayne, IN | Economics


Mike’s tag-line - "I do what I want!" - pretty much speaks for itself. He enjoys recreational sports and playing a variety of sports. Enjoys having the tag-line. Mike was recently elected to the IFC E-Board as Secretary, and serves as Beta Tau’s secretary as well. There is not a whole lot this 5 ft 4 in Irishman can't do.

Matt Tynski

Orland Park, IL | Sports Management


Matt is currently a manager at the ARC and uses his job benefits frequently for the house. He planned on being an RA his sophomore year, but came around and decided to live in the house. He choose the Arsenal, and we are all looking forward to the transformation Matt will need to make with the room in order to live in it next year.

Paul Walter

Little Rock, AR | Music Education


Commonly referred to as Paul Wall, Paulter, or red-head, Paul is the comedian of the Epsilon Epsilon pledge class. He is currently a member of the band ‘The Still Life’. He plays the keyboard and provides backup vocals. Paul has always joked about giving himself a mohawk--how awesome.

Dustin Bonk

Summit, IL | Meteorology


Dustin was the winner of Beta Tau’s prestigious Freshman Scholarship Program. Following in the likes of Paul Schmid, and Brian Engebrecht, Dustin is pursuing a degree in Meteorology. Dustin recently ended his relationship with his girlfriend of many years. Ladies he’s single!

Michael Korenko

Cleveland, OH | Undecided


MIKEY! as most people call him is a chill dude, who likes to game, play sports, and generally have a good time. However, Mike says his favorite things to do are “stuff,  then more stuff, then after that...other stuff.”Mike is contemplating enter the law enforcement, and plans to major in criminal justice and sociology.

Kruchten SMASHH SMASHH, as he is known, is an engineering major from Orland PArk which is outside of Chicago. Kevin is know for his incredible luck and general awesomeness. Kevin attempts to enjoy life although his favorite activities of trampolining, frisbee, and eating get in the way.

As a chemistry major, Mitul plans on entering the medical field one day in order to save lives. Similarly, Mitul can whip up a batch of AgNO3 quicker than you can say namaste. Those are some mad skillz.

Leonard Tanksley

Milford, OH | Music Education


Leonard has a black belt in Taekwondo, and generally kicks ass. He enjoys smoking hooka, playing ultimate frisbee, and listening to classic rock.

Kurits Malone

Pekin, IL | Meteorology


Kurtis is a member of the Valpo swimming and diving team following in the likes of Quinn and Meals, both of whom are generally considered failures. Hailing from Southern Illinois, Kurtis is still adjusting to the urban life, especially living in a town of more than thirty thousand people. Kurtis was recently awarded a diving scholarship from Valpo, we are all very proud of him.
