- SEPTEMBER 1, 2009 MEETING MINUTES
Director:
- Picnic: September 5th, 12pm at Kirchoff Park. Upperclassmen who can drive meet in front of Schnabel Hall/KCH to pick up any freshman or people who need rides from campus at 1130am.
- Web Site: Amy and Jason have the website almost ready to go.
- Grant money: The new Chase Vehicle cannot be purchased until July 1st.
Deputy Director:
- Storm Ready Presentations this week. Thursday September 3rd 7-8pm in the Brown/Gold Rm. CORE 5th hour for freshman.
- Storm Spotter Training for VUPD, Sheriff, Fire Department and others will be done by the National Weather Service.
- Hazardous Weather Plan for all buildings are in the process of being man should be done by end of Sept/Oct.
- Weather Radios: check on buildings/dorm to make sure the 35 radios are set up. Friday September 4th meet in the weather center before 2pm and around 3pm if you can't make it at 2.
- Operations: Inventory of items for chase kits, write ups on how to wire the vehicles and how to work items inside the kits.
Treasurer
- Current balance $972.00
- Dues $15.00
- Dues are due to Michael Graves by the 3rd meeting.
Secretary
- Meteorology Christmas Banquet: Dec. 5th
- Tentatively at Casa Del Roma depending on availability
- For the freshman the banquet is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow classmates and professors! We have dinner and skits; Freshman/Sophomores, Juniors/Seniors, and Professors all make their own skits picking fun of the department. It’s a fun time and you get a lot of good laughs!
