February 23rd, 2011 VUSIT Meeting Minutes

Treasurer:                   

• Balance: $1143.80
• Chase Statistics are up on the website so check them out!

Secretary:

• Sign up for Relay for Life Online! (look at Sarah's email for instructions on how to sign up)

Deputy Direction:

• Will need people to help me check all of the weather radios after Spring Break!  Come see Chris Shuma if you are interested.
• Keep your eyes open for emails concerning day chases!  Spring is right around the corner, and don't forget how important those morning meetings are the day of the chase.

Director:

• Voted on spending $500 on new CBs and antennas - PASSED
• If you have some cool storm chase pictures please submit them for our picture contest to valpovusit@gmail.com
• Orientation went very well - if you couldn't make it please email jacki.ritzman@valpo.edu because there will be a make up date!
• Elections for E-board next year will take place April 7th at 7 pm (place TBA).  If you are interested in running for a position please email Jacki at jacki.ritzman@valpo.edu and tell her what you are interested in running for.  At elections you will have to give a short little talk about why you want the position and why you feel you are the best candidate for that position.
• April 8th will be our VUSIT Late Night! Don't miss it!
