Despite losing the first 2 sets, the Crusader volleyball team came back to defeat former Mid-Continent conference rival Oakland in 5 sets. The Golden Grizzlies barely edged Valpo in the 1st set and followed with a dominant 2nd set to take 2 sets to none lead. Valpo responded with close wins in the next 2 sets to force a 5th and final set. With plenty of momentum at their backs, the Crusaders cruised to an impressive 5th set victory to escape with the win in the ARC. Final Score: Valpo defeats Oakland 3-2 (24-26, 18-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-6)
